Now, if only Paw-Paw could've seen this meal. We had an assortment of roasted vegetables: purple potatoes, candy-striped beets, golden beets, carrots, celery, red onion....

All drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and pepper and roasted in the oven. To round out the meal, we had a nice NY strip that Gropius cooked outside on the propane cooker that he bought for his future still and some English peas.

Poor folks indeed.

As a member of the 'poor folk' community, I appreciate your curiousity regarding our dietary intake. Typically, we consume about 1600 calories, spread out between 7 or 8 small meals, the largest of which is in the morning, the smallest in the evening. Occasionally we cheat and eat half an old shoe, seasoned with bramble dust... but that's only on very special days (like Hobo fight night).
Chuck out that nasty beefy thing and throw in some nice naan bread and a nice stout or porter as a bevvie, and we are so there with you.
Did they have a clearance sale on the produce aisle at Whole Paycheck?
What is that? The Pride Pot?
I see the whole RoyGBiv sequence.
Celebrate diversity, well done.
